The Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has now come back to fitness after six years of injury hell, and he proved it by playing (and scoring) for the Arsenal reserves yesterday afternoon.
Now he just wants to put all his problems behind him and get on with doing what he does best; playing a great game of football. Diaby said today: “I am very happy to be back – I have done a lot of work with the medical staff to get back in the frame,” h
“I feel good and I hope that things will stay like this for me. It has been very frustrating to get all of these injuries, because I don’t play, I don’t train and I am in the gym on my own and getting treatment.
“I have had a lot of injuries and it is tough to take because you want to show what you have got on the pitch. I just want to play football. Now everything is OK again, so I am just looking forward.”
Let us all hope that Diaby’s problems are really behind him, because we all know that he has the ability to big star for Arsenal and France. Let’s all get behind him and cheer him on for the rest of the season, then hopefully he can play a big part in bringing the title back to Arsenal next season.
