Ajax star Jan Vertonghen has admitted that he’s still thinking about leaving the club, and with intense interest coming from Premiership from Arsenal, the defensive star is highly likely to leave Amsterdam soon, perhaps even during these last 7 days of January transfer window.
“There is talk of a contract extension, but not much has been said,’ he told AT5.
“Perhaps Ajax will find it to be a good thing when I leave, I don’t know.
“But I think that in the future I could have a very good transfer.”
Arsenal has proved to be interested in the young defensive man who does an amazing job playing for Ajax as a center-back and an even better job playing for Belgium as a defensive midfielder.
The Belgian star might be seen as a savior at Arsenal who are well known for having injury problems throughout the season every season. With a player who can act as a left-back center-back and defensive midfielder Wenger will be able to lay his head down at night and not worry if he will be able to get a good team in the pitch. The only problem is that the Frenchman doesn’t seem interested to transfer anything this month.
