Almunia staying but what about Fabianski?

Wojciech Szczesny has established himself as the Number One keeper at Arsenal, but who is going to be the long-term second choice behind him.

His fellow countryman Lukasz Fabianski repeatedly said before Christmas that he wanted to move on this month if he wasn’t given more first team chances at Arsenal, especially as wants to challenge Szczesny for the Polish international place as well.

But there have been NO rumours about him moving on since and with just a few days of the transfer window left he looks unlikely to leave now.

Manuel Almunia has been on the bench for the last few games while Fabianski has recovered from injury, but the Pole played in a reserve game against Fulham this week and is now back in contention.

The Spaniard has stated that he has no plans to leave Arsenal this month, and hasn’t even talked to Wenger about his (non-existent) future at the Emirates, but should Wenger keep him on the bench or bring Fabianski back into the squad even if he’s unhappy about being on the bench?

I think we should sell fabianski and almunia whilst bringin mannone back. shea and martinez can be 3 and 4 comfortably. however if mannone wants out as well go for an experienced keeper who is happy to challenge chez

OMFG No! Arsenal must have over paid him ridiculously if he wants to stay at a club where he will be on the bench without even the Carling cup appearances and 95% of the fans wouldnt be sad to see him caught for steeling in saudi arabia to ensure he never plays again.
Poor business if its true, but somehow i dont think Wenger or even Almunia are quite that stupid. He Has to GO this summer along with Arshavin, Rosicky, Bentner, Denilson, Chamakh and Vela! (Fabianski wont be missed either and please dont sign Beneyoun) Anything else would be very poor judgment.

Almunia on his last season with Arsenal. He will leave next summer once his contract run out. I cannot see Arsenal will renew his contract. Maybe Fabianski will leave next summer as well if the right offers come. And that left us with Mannone as number two and a young unknown keeper as number three.
