Including today there are three days left before the January transfer window opens and Arsenal start to spend money like a man with no arms (yeah right) but if previous transfer windows are anything to go by then us Arsenal fans will still be nervously waiting and hoping for a signing or two in about a month.

However, the manager did at least make an early move in the summer, bringing the brilliant and record breaking keeper Petr Cech to the club from Chelsea. And according to a Metro report we are set to get another early signing when the January transfer window opens.

This confirmation of an Arsenal transfer rumour comes straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak, as the Basel and Egypt international midfielder Mohamed Elneny has told the Egyptian press that he has already been through his medical with the Gunners and is set to put pen to paper on his contract as soon as possible.

The 23-year old is a talented and versatile midfielder who will hopefully ease the problems facing the club due to the absence through injury of Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky. Once that deal is done, who will be next on Wenger’s transfer list?
