Long term Arsenal target Lucas Biglia seems set to make the switch in the summer, as the Argentine declared that inquiries have been made by Real Madrid and Arsenal, but no official offer yet and that he’s still waiting to be contacted.

The Gunners are after a defensive midfielder and it has been thought that Biglia will be a top transfer target, but it seems that Wenger is much more interested in capturing M’Vila.

“It’s true that Real Madrid and Arsenal are interested in me,” the 26-year-old told todomercadoweb.es.

“I can say that Real Madrid have contacted my agent Enzo Montepaono to ask about my situation but so far there have only been contacts and no formal offers have arrived.

“About Arsenal, I can tell you the same as before. Only Arsenal and Real Madrid have contacted us and now we are waiting.

“I have a contract with Anderlecht until 2015 but the club know what I want. My intention is to leave.

“We have negotiated my buy-out clause and, if a club comes and pays the clause, Anderlecht will allow me to leave.

“In January, there was an important offer from Fiorentina but the club rejected it because we were in the middle of the championship. I hope now things can be different.”

Arsene Wenger is due to bring a defensive midfielder to the club this summer, and the fight seems to be between Biglia and Yann M’Vila. Who do you think would be better to join the Gunners in their attempt to break the seven-season-long trophy drought?

  1. This two defensive midfielders are reall fit to join Arsenal. But for the truth is that Arsenal lack physical appearance of player just as chelsea and mancity who have tick players like yaya toure,Richard &Essien, luiz, drogba.so i will let Wenger go for M’villa.up arsenal.

  2. Arsene wenger should go for M’Villa since he is very young and stilll has alot to over for Arsenal.
