It is being reported in Argentina that the Racing Club midfielder Claudio Yacob has agreed a pre-contract to join Arsenal this summer.

The 24 year-old is out of contract at Racing this summer and was free to talk to foreign clubs last month, and Argentinian journalists have stated that personal terms have already been finalised for his move.

Yacob has played for the senior Argentina side three times after making 20 appearances for the U-20 side, including the triumphant team that won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.

He is a defensive midfielder and will provide healthy competition for Alex Song in the Arsenal squad, and he can occasionally pop up with an excellent goal now and then.

Here is a video of his performances in 2011 showing his silky skills…..

  1. WTF… Least we could have bought M.Suarez. When will we get a decent striker who has proved himself? RVP will leave this summer and I bet all we’ll buy is a striker whose never heard of before!! All the money from Cesc, Nasri and Clichy gone to Kroenke. We might get another 35m for Persie and we’ll buy a striker for 10m….

      1. Well surely we should invest in the current squad then, so we can guarantee champions league football, the money from that will cover any repayments for the stadium

  2. oooooooooooooooooo……..did Ricardo Alvarez had a same story…oh yeah!!!! then he swapped by INTER MILAN…..WOW

  3. Say anything u like. Wenger is not a kind of person that listen to pple’s voice. He does that which pleases him.He has veto power u knw.He spot quality players but, will not buy. Both Wenger & board are not serious. They are in for business and not for cup. They raise players and later sell.
