It should be a good game for the neutral, as they say, between Arsenal and Wigan at the Emirates on Tuesday. Results today have left Wigan needing six points from their last two games, while Arsenal need to win to go back above Tottenham into the top four and leave our Champions League destiny in our own hands.
Wigan tend to play an attacking style of football anyway, while Arsenal dominate possession and are the joint top scorers at home in the Premier League, with 43 goals from 18 games, the same as Man United. Neither team can afford to play safe, so it should ba fast and furious game.
Arsenal must start with purpose and be prepared for anything, Wigan may get tired from their Wembley exertions as the game goes on, but they will no doubt start like a rocket. The Arsenal defence has been excellent recently, though, and will hopefully make the difference and keep Wigan from scoring.
The longer they go without scoring, the more desperate Wigan will get and that will mean more space for the Arsenal attack to do some damage. Wigan have been shipping goals all season, no team has conceded more. I am super nervous and half dreading Tuesday night, but also confident that Arsenal will do the business. Don’t let me down lads!
