Arsenal’s full-back problems might be coming to an end as manager Arsene Wenger has eyed a young full-back who might be a proper addition to the Gunner squad.

Young Swansea full-back Neil Taylor has heard about the rumours and declared himself very excited about the possibility to join such a big club even though he’s happy at Swansea.

“I’m flattered by the interest from Arsenal,” said the 22-year-old in the Daily Star. “I’m enjoying my football at Swansea but it’s a great thing to hear.”

“People are already saying what a big test Arsenal are going to be for us. But the way we look at it, it is also a big test for them coming to the Liberty.

“We want to carry on doing as well as we have been at home and it’s about time we won a game against one of the top teams.

“I don’t see why they can’t be that big scalp. When we played them at the Emirates, we should definitely have got a result. Instead, only a freak goal on the day saw us lose.

“Only Manchester United have beaten us in 10 league games at home and, hopefully, if we can give a good account of ourselves, we can make it a tough day for them.”

Arsenal need to solve the full-back problem as soon as possible as they can’t go on like this for much longer and neither Gibbs or Santos seem ready to come back any time soon.

  1. Wenger is not worried about this problem. He only requires a bad defeat to wake up. My only worry is that another woeful season is knocking on our door.

  2. yes..wenger need 8 nil again so he can off load some deadwood players and buy big name players to help the club….
