It looks like it might be time for Arsenal to forget about this particular transfer target. The last time the Gunners were said to be on the verge of completing the transfer of Gonzalo Higuain, it was supposed to be a done deal and the then Real Madrid front man was on his way.

But as we know, the Argentina international opted for Napoli in Serie A instead, where Rafa Benitez was spending money like it was water in an attempt to challenge the dominance of Juventus in Italy. But the former Liverpool boss has failed.

Napoli have not even made the Champions League this season and were soundly beaten by Yong Boys of Berne in the Europa League this week. So it is no surprise that reports from Italy claimed that Higuain was not all that happy and was prepared to finally become a Gunner.

However, a Mirror report now claims that his brother has rubbished this claim and declared that the striker is going nowhere. Your loss Gonzalo…

  1. Arsenal is bigger than Higuain and fellow monkey of him. We are arsenal and we are in Champions League without that monkey called Gonzalo. COYG
