Ever since the start of the Premier League season, Arsenal have had to somehow cope without almost a whole team worth of first team players. And it always seemed to be a rash of players in the same areas of the squad being out of action at the same time.

First it was the defence, with Debuchy, Koscielny and Gibbs all missing games and then it was midfield, with Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsey. But even with Walcott still injured and our big French striker Olivier Giroud missing a couple of months after surgery on his Tibia, the Gunners never seemed short up front as there were good options for Wenger.

But the way Arsenal’s luck has been going, that was never going to last and now the injury curse has hit Danny Welbeck at just the wrong time, with Giroud serving a three match ban. Arsenal.com have reported that the former Man United forward picked up a thigh problem in our last game.

Theo Walcott may be fit again but has not started a game in nearly a year and Yaya Sanogo seems to be carrying a knock as well. So how do Arsenal cope for trip to face Southampton on Friday?
