There is a long and distinguished list of players that Arsenal have missed out on during the managerial reign of Arsene Wenger, with big name players like Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and many more having been close to a transfer to Arsenal before going on to having stellar careers.

But surely the most painful one has to be losing out to Manchester United for three time Ballon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. Wenger has admitted to this being his biggest regret, transfer-wise, so the Frenchman will be even more keen to avoid it happening again.

Maybe that is why the former Gunner Luis Boa-Morte has been watching the young Portuguese winger Goncalo Guedes recently, according to The Sun, as the 19-year old is the latest to have been dubbed the ‘new Ronaldo’ and Boa-Morte monitors players for his former boss.

We will have to wait and see whether this promising young player can live up to the hype and if so I think we can expect quite a few more Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with a move for the Portugal international.
