Arsenal rumour roundup Jan 18th – Kaka, Arshavin, No-one, Dann, Squillaci and Cisse

Reading the Arsenal rumours every morning becomes more and more depressing, especially when you read things like Newcastle signing the classy striker Papa Cisse for just 7m quid. Surely he would have been worth buying as an excellent backup to Van Persie? We have all given up on Chamakh, and Park just seems to have been brought in as a cheerleader……

The repeated rumour that Arsenal are going to try and get Kaka on loan from Real Madrid is just a load of Kaka! Not only has Wenger already said that the Arsenal midfield is already “too crowded”, there is not a hope in hell that Wenger would sanction matching the wages he gets in Madrid. Oh and it started from Caughtoffside…Nuff said!

The Mail are under the impression that the Blackburn defender Scott Dann is going to follow Christopher Samba out the door as he is “urgently seeking talks with Steve Kean” with a view to leaving. They think that both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in buying him this month, but surely Blackburn can’t afford to lose both their first-choice centre-backs and still expect to stay in the Premiership? But if they stay and are unhappy is that just as bad…..

The latest on Arshavin is that Lazio are keen to take him to Serie A,according to the Mirror, but yesterday a red-top said that Arshavin wouldn’t leave London because his kids love it and he wants them to get citizenship. Personally I don’t believe either story….

The Sun has a headline saying “Wenger refuses to spend (again)”. They reckon that Wenger is going to anger the fans by buying no-one at all, but qualify that by saying that the “only thing that might change his mind is a disastrous result against Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday.” So, in other words, Wenger may buy or he may not……

Everyone is talking about Squillaci going back to Monaco as if its a done deal, but I have seen very little evidence that this is true. But as they are currently in the French second division then that may be Squillaci’s level right now so I wouldn’t be surprised….

If I had to choose the most likely scenario out of all those above, I would pick the Sun’s “No-one at all” as the most likely, closely followed by the Squillaci exit. As for the rest……Kaka!

I don’t see Arsenal finishing in top four cos Wenger can no longer convince quality players to Arsenal. Is painful to watch Football this time cos Arsenal have failed entirely.

Alex ox camber’ to play even for walcott or walcott on the last defender with RVP just behind & wilshire for ramsey & new defender fir per as he back up for me but better than the squid.

Moving squillaci wont free up a space at all as we currently have 18 foreign players a space would be free in the champions league squad but surely remaining in that competition beyond the next round is highly unlikely.

Sometimes i don’t understand the proble with the board and arsene wenger, we can not remain the top four with this bunch of inconsistent and average players, the board and wenger have to reconsider their stand of no one for now.

  7. eazyway says:

Kudos 2 all arsenal fans,2 my own view,d board is the problem, they wl release money 2 him,he wl return some back not even complaining on y he return. Let them tell wenger 2 use all d money without returning any change.

F&*k you , how many fans do that ?, real supporters want to go to games then sit by the tv , the board can sack wenger full stop .

  10. Kapau says:

Why is Wenger so stubborn to buy….
    1. the money he sold Adebayor, Kolo, Gallas, Clichy, Nasri, Fabregras, still intact. How much is that in total.
    2. Mr Wenger should always remember that is for the club and not his pocket money. So a business transcation is a two way— buying and selling but unfortunately our manager is doing the other way

  11. TicoTico says:

    Guys!

We must get Wenger out if Arsenal wants to remain as a top club in Europe, with Wenger Arsenal will get nothing and will finish in the 5th place in EPL this season. He is an old man with outdated philosophy!

of course, I dont like again to give up any comment to AW, he always having the same way which is the player trading principle rather than builde up the team and then geting strengthn by financial and the football closlly, but till now not yet. the fans doyou now AW what he doing now staying as he want and he is suffering on battling of the tonoment. he try to act and angry. whay, he doing like this? with out investing you can’t get any title or to join the champion league.

  13. Julias Tarusenga says:

We need Ally Cissokho, Chris Samba and Ba b4 our game with AC Milan. Arsenal got the money to bring these players to Emirates but i wonder why Arsene is holding on to the money thats not his.

    1. Shay says:

Maybe he’s not the one holding it? I blame the board over AW… They control purse strings not him (he controls everything else)…
