Arsenal Rumours Roundup – Are The Gunners Falling Behind Again?

2

As the times get tougher and tougher at Arsenal, more and more players are linked with the club but the bad thing about it is that we can’t tell anymore what Wenger’s thinking and we can’t even say if he’s going to make a change or not.

The reality is that Arsenal are in big need of some new faces, and even though the midfield is the compartment which suffers the most, according to recent rumours Eden Hazard is much closer to joining Tottenham than Arsenal despite Wenger’s long term interest in him.

The Spurs are also leading the chase for another Arsenal target, but this time it’s a striker we’re speaking about and the White Hart Lane side was the first to “call dibs” on him as Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao is all set to make the move to European football and has an official offer from Totenham.

Wenger’s interest in transferring a striker doesn’t end here and rumours go as far as saying that the Frenchman is willing to let a real Gunner Theo Walcott go for the services of arch rivals Chelsea’s striker Daniel Sturridge who has grown frustrated of the situation at the Bridge.

Another potential striker for the club’s summer transfer campaign would be German star Lukas Podolski and after the forward announced he’s ready to leave Koln, Wenger’s trying to figure out the right approach to transfer him.

The Frenchman is also looking for fresh blood and it seems that he’s ready to make a move for a Tunisian attacking midfielder who is intensely compared to Messi as he seems to be shining for ES Tunis each time he gets a chance.

The best rumour of all today is that Robin is likely to accept talking to Arsenal about a possible contract extension. After recent results we’re all hoping for the best but expecting the worst as the Dutch star approaches the end of his contract with the Gunners.
