Despite the Jurgen Klopp factor, Arsenal will surely feel that the Borussia Dortmund and Germany international star Mario Gotze will choose a move to north London and Champions League football over Merseyside and no European football at all.

With recent reports from Germany saying that the talented young German is being forced out of Bayern Munich, The Sun reports that Arsenal are ready to swoop and beat our Premier League rivals Liverpool to the signature of Gotze.

The attacking midfielder was thought to be quite keen on joining up again with Klopp after the pair enjoyed some great times at Borussia Dortmund but now that it seems like Arsenal will not get our transfer target Henrikh Mkhitaryan for one reason or another, Arsene Wenger is ready to offer Gotze a better option.

And with the report claiming that he could be available for around £27 million, no wonder the Arsenal boss is keen on this exciting talent who scored the winning goal for Germany in the 2014 World Cup final. Injury problems and a poor relationship with Pep Guardiola appear to have cut short his time with the German Bundesliga champions, but hopefully he will get a new lease of life as a Gunner.
