Arsenal to finally sign Ligue 1 star after Vardy transfer snub

3

Maybe Arsenal fans will not be feeling so bad today after missing out on the transfer of Jamie Vardy from the Premier League title holders Leicester City. The England striker certainly failed to show his class as Roy Hodgson’s three lions were dumped out of Euro 2016 by the tournament minnows Iceland.

Quite a few people have said that Vardy would not really have suited Arsenal’s possession and dominance bsed style and perhaps they were proved right by England this summer. Whatever the case, Arsenal fans have been anxiously waiting to hear which striker would be coming to boost the firepower of the Gunners and now we do according to The Sun.

They are reporting that Arsene Wenger is ready to take up where West Ham left off after having two transfer bids turned down by the forward’s French club Lyon. The biggest of these was 40 million euros according to Sky Sports but that does not mean that Arsenal would have to pay more because the Lyon president admitted that the final decision was the player’s.

With Wenger set to meet with Lacazette’s people this week we will soon know if Arsenal are a more tempting proposition than our London rivals.

  1. Let it become true….J Vardy was not going to be a good target and I felt good when I heard his contract has been extended.
