Arsenal v West Brom betting preview and score prediction

Arsenal play host to West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day, which will be no formality after recent events.

The Gunners failed to pick up any points from their last two matches despite taking an early lead against both Everton and Manchester City, and will now have to battle with themselves mentally before they will stand a chance of overcoming the recent results.

The safest bet to start you off with should be both teams to score which is currently priced up by CrownBet online odds at 5/6 (1.88). In each of the Gunners last eight Premier League matches, this type of bet has come in, and judging by their mental frailty at present paired with the fact that centre-back Shkodran Mustafi is out injured, this should be a near-certainty.

On top of that, you have to be expecting Arsene Wenger’s side to be able to turn around their form with the squad that they have, and whilst the Baggies have been playing well of late, I cannot foresee them picking up their first points at the Emirates since 2010. A Gunners win with both sides to score is available at 9/5 (2.8).

Alexis Sanchez has been the main man for the North-London side this season and is very easy to back to score again on Monday, but I would hold off on that in case Arsene Wenger decides to tinker with his side after the recent losses, as he would be less likely to open the scoring should he be moved back to the wing.

I expect Arsenal to start the game slowly but I would avoid the half-time full-time markets, but come the second half, I firmly expect them to hit fifth gear and begin to run over their opponents. I’m predicting a 3-1 win for the Gunners!
