Arsenal are looking for the services of Argentine defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia according to his agent Enzo Montepaone, and are expected to submit a bid for him in January.
The 25-year-old Anderlecht defensive midfielder is one of Arsenal’s targets according to his agent, but Fiorentina or Milan have the upper edge.
“I know that Fiorentina officials went to Belgium to have a look at him and that they spoke to Anderlecht about trying to sign him in January,” Montepaone told calciomercato.com.
“Interest from AC Milan? Yes, I can confirm that there has been in the past, but there has never been anything concrete.
“Fiorentina’s interest is real, but Arsenal also like him a lot.
“Italy has always been his dream and, as he holds an Italian passport, a move to Italy is very likely.
“It is, however, important to pay attention to Arsenal.”
Wenger is looking to bring someone who can help Song with the defensive responsabilities, and if the deal for M’Vila won’t go through Biglia would be a useful addition to the club. He’s a regular first team player for the Argentine national team since 2011, and he would be the second South American player at the club after Santos.
