Arsenal Wants To Ambush PSG’s Deal With Chelsea striker

French side PSG is close to agreeing a transfer move with Chelsea’s striker Salomon Kalou, but Arsenal may ambush the move in order to steal Kalou from under PSG’s noses.

Kalou has so far refused to sign a new contract offered by the Blues, and the ex-Chelsea star Claude Makele was reported by L’Equipe as being in London to talk to Kalou earlier this week with a view persuading him to choose a move to Paris, but with Wenger being a long-time admirer of the Ivorian, he will be hoping to hijack the deal and persuade Kalou to stay in London as back up to Robin Van Persie.

This wouldn’t be the first time this happened either. In the summer French side Lille was taking Korean striker Park through some fitness tests which were supposed to take two days. The former Monaco striker showed up for the first set, but then Arsene Wenger called him and the next morning Park was at Arsenal forgetting everything about Lille.

This time things might be a bit different as PSG is very interested in Arsenal’s striker Marouane Chamakh, and a deal between the two clubs may occur if Wenger will admit that he has to let Chamakh go in January, in which case he will get a free run to take Kalou to the Emirates.
