Arshavin at Arsenal!?
OK it’s only speculation at the moment but it looks like Arsene Wenger has expressed an interest in Andrei Arshavin the Russian and Zenit St Petersburg player.
According to the Daily Express Wenger said “The eye is always looking at who can strengthen Arsenal.”
“You always think, ‘could this player play for your team?’ or perhaps there is a good player you didn’t know.”
“Mainly I would say that you discovered only Russian players at this tournament because you see them playing less. All the others you know.”
As I said it’s a long way off but I think Arshavin would fit very nicely in our beautiful game!
There is apparantly a £10 million clause in Arshavin’s contract but I’d guess that will be just the starting point if other premiership clubs get involved or are already interested…
