The best thing from an Arsenal fan’s point of view that could happen with the ongoing Alexis Sanchez situation would be for the Chile international star to stay at his current club, especially if it was because Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board proved to the ambitious striker that they were serious about trying to win a major trophy like the Premier League title or the Champions League.
Even if it meant that Alexis agreed to see out the remaining year of his current contract while waiting to see if Wenger could lead the Gunners back to glory it would be better than seeing our star player sign for another club, but in reality it is looking ever more likely that this will happen in the summer.
If so, the growing Arsenal transfer rumours linking Sanchez with our Premier League rivals Chelsea is very worrying for us Gooners, which is why I think the news reported by the Spanish sports paper AS should be seen as good news. They claim that Diego Simeone is very keen to sign the Chilean for his La Liga club Atletico Madrid.
If Arsenal are to lose Alexis then the only positive would be if he left the EPL entirely.
