We’ve signed an under 21, Portuguese midfielder from Werder Bremen in Amaury Bischoff.

Bischoff has only played a handfull of times for Bremen because of groin injury problems and Wenger says it will take a few months for him to get up to speed with his fitness levels;

“Amaury is a young, promising player who we have taken a gamble on because he has been out for a long time.”

“We have to get him to a very good fitness level.”

“He has talent but we’ll have to wait two or three months to get him competitive. He has had two surgeries on his groin so it is a gamble on his talent.”

Let’s hope Wenger has plucked another Veira from thin air! At least we’re buying young talent again, let’s hope we can keep hold of these players for a good few years…
