According to the Daily Star, Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Arsenal target Mario Gotze has told his friends that he would like an opportunity to speak with the North Londoners.
The newspaper is reporting that Gotze told his friends that:
“I like the way Arsenal play the game and for me there are only two clubs where I’d like to play once I move from Dortmund – Arsenal or Barcelona.”
The 18-year-old has long been linked with a move to Emirates and it was reported that the German club had rejected a £40 million bid from the Gunners during the summer.
Arsene Wenger recently revealed his admiration for the young German and also stated that he would love to bring him to the Emirates. With Barcelona and Real Madrid also declaring their interest in him, the North London side are likely to be priced out of the market.
But with Wenger making slight changes to his transfer policy, it would be difficult to rule out a summer move for the brilliant German youngster.
