Maybe this is the shape of things to come for Arsenal and if so it is fantastic news for all the long suffering Gooners out there. Arsene Wenger has already given the Arsenal fans frustrated from years of scrimping and saving and selling our best players some encouraging signs.
The Gunners have signed big players from the two La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent transfer windows and now Wenger is ready to follow on from the signings of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez by beating Real Madrid to one of their transfer targets, according to a Daily Express report.
There have already been Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with Lucas Silva, the young Brazilian midfielder dubbed the new Kaka, but it was then reported that the 21-year old was really keen on moving to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But the paper claims that his current club Cruzeiro are looking for £12 million for their young star and with Madrid not willing to meet their price, Arsenal are set to swoop for the talented Silva in January and have agreed to pay the fee Cruzeiro want. Sounds good eh Gooners?
