Chelsea star’s snub to spark Arsenal title challenge

When the Arsenal players next kick off in the Premier League we could start the game six points off the league leaders, as Chelsea face Man City away in the early Saturday match. The best thing for the Gunners would be a draw but failing that I think it would be better for Man City in order to halt the recent momentum of Chelsea.

There is another reason for Arsenal fans and our players to want Chelsea to falter as well, because their Belgian international star Eden Hazard was reported by Metro this week dismissing Arsenal as a serious rival to his club for the EPL title this season.

Instead, when asked about who could beat Chelsea to the trophy Hazard said just Liverpool and Man City, which is a little bit odd when you consider we are just one point behind Pep Guardiola’s team, just two behind Jurgen Klopp’s and only three behind the current league leaders of Antonio Conte.

What may seem even more odd about Hazard’s comments, especially to the 11 Gunners that were on the Emirates pitch in September, was that we ripped Chelsea apart with ease. Has the Belgian forgotten this pasting that Arsenal handed to him and his teammates?

Will his dismissal of our title credentials help to spur the Gunners on to greater efforts this weekend and help us to get the win at West Ham?
