On the face of it, this is one Arsenal transfer rumour that you would think has just been made up to sell papers. Luis Suarez may be angling for a transfer away from Liverpool, and who could blame him, but the idea of him moving to Arsenal seems laughable.

The Liverpool striker has been moaning about his unfair treatment by the FA, and claiming that he needs to get himself and his family away from the intense media glare he is under in England. This may have been mainly to engineer a move to La Liga in Spain with Real Madrid, but would render a move to a Premier League rival ridiculous, and would make him a figure of intense hatred from Liverpool fans and bring him under even more media attention.

Add to that his terrible disciplinary record and massive price tag, along with the reports that the Gunners are on the verge of completing the transfer of Gonzalo Higuain from Madrid, and you just cannot see him coming to Arsenal. The story is not made up, however, and stems from the established bookies William Hill, who have received so much money in bets from Spain that they have stopped taking any more. That would normally point to somebody knowing something the rest of us don’t, so you never know.

  1. If this were true I would be elated. The man is brilliant and if signed would provide the unpredictable along with his goal scoring prowess. However I feel that if he is leaving Liverpool it would be because of all the negativity surrounding him in the prem; and if he moves it would be abroad.
