Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund was certainly undeserved and I felt a draw would have been the fairest outcome however that isn’t the case and now the team must move on to focus on the game against Crystal Palace this weekend.

One thing that came to my attention was the fact that Arsenal certainly did put out a good team, one that perhaps doesn’t better a Dortmund team full of players like Gundogan, Hummels and Lewandowski, but certainly reaches a similar par to it. In previous years I wouldn’t have felt confident in saying that however now with the additions of the likes of Giroud, Podolski, Cazorla and Ozil over the past two years and of course alongside the players we already had, shows that we are beginning to piece a really good team together.

Arsenal now has a strong quality squad and bench, despite the concerns that we don’t have the best depth in quality as a top 4 club possibly should have. However I disagree with this because although there is always room for improvement, and there are certainly many ways that this team can improve and go to the next level, I think if we focus on what we currently have its not as bad as we first thought.

We have proved ourselves so far this season, especially in the Premier League and bearing in mind a lot of people think its down to Ozil and Ramsey’s performances, I think that everyone on the team has been in spectacular form and like Wenger said “we are GUNNER get better”! Our first XI is strong, and our bench isn’t too bad either however imagine it if the entire team manages to stay fit and we welcome back Walcott, Ox and Podolski. We will have a ridiculously good team and bench and I honestly struggle to see how we cannot challenge for silverware with a side like that.

  1. Who’s goin’ to be panic anyway? We had been play without speedy flankers since Napoli’s game. We busted Napoli, came out even with WBA, and trashed Norwich before loss to Dortmund. It wasn’t all about the flankers or Flamini but our best midfielders was looked jagged. Arsene should rotated them before Dortmund’s game at will. Just like incoming fixture againts Palace this weekend. My opinion, maybe Arsene has put BPL as his top priority. With our recent form, who will blame him. Arsene treats ECL as a bonus target. So, I won’t be so dissapointed if we just end up as semifinalist, but crown BPL champion after 9 years thropyless drought.
Talking about flankers, aren’t we still have Gnabry or Miyaichi? I wonder why Arsene didn’t play this two speedy kids? Just pick one of them and we’ll have another alternate angle of attack for Ozil to aim.
