The Lille captain Ryo Mavuba wants to see the club’s star player Eden Hazard stay another season with the French despite being very tempted by several Premiership clubs.
According to Mavuba, Hazard spoke about his dream to join the Premiership to improve his game further, and Arsenal are only one of the Premiership sides interested in him.
“Eden is very talented and he is one of the most physically powerful players I have met in my career.
“He is always perfecting his shots in practice and he will be a big star.
“It is normal to join a big club but I would advise him to stay.
“He tells us he dreams of playing in the Premier League and progressing as a player.
“But Lille can spend money on the team and we can improve for next season.”
Lille’s officials wanted to hang on to Hazard last summer in order to use him in the Champions League, but this time around they’re highly likely to sell. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for Arsenal they won’t be able to request as much as they would have liked to, because Hazard’s national team, Belgium, didn’t manage to qualify for the Euro 2012 championship.
Do you think Eden will end up at Arsenal?
