EPL injury table FINALLY gives Arsenal title hope

0

I really hope that I am not speaking too soon here, with Arsenal having a Premier League game tonight against Watford before the big one against the current table toppers Chelsea on Saturday. At the minute, though, we only have one first team player unavailable due to injury and at this point of the season that is almost unheard of for Arsenal.

For most of the season the Gunners have been at or near the top of the league table for EPL clubs and the number of players injured, but on the final day of transfer deadline day Squawka.com shows that only Chelsea have fewer players in the treatment room than us.

This situation is clearly part of the reason why Arsene Wenger does not feel the need to use transfer deadline day to boost the squad and I can understand the Frenchman’s thinking, because we have come quite close in recent years until the injury problems take effect.

Now as we head into the business end of the season with FA cup and Champions League games to be fitted in with our league matches, the boss has been boosted by the return of players like Welbeck and Walcott and we should have Santi Cazorla back before too long.

If it stays like that, will Arsenal finally mount a serious title challenge?
