Arsenal may have left a mountain to climb after losing at the Emirates stadium to Monaco by 3-1 at the end of February. In fact the Gunners must pull off something that has never been done before in the Champions League if we are to achieve a remarkable comeback and stay in the competition.

So we know it is not going to be easy but there are a few reasons for the travelling Arsenal fans to believe that the team just might do it.

1. Arsenal are in great form as a unit with eight wins from the last nine Premier League games and that away win over Man United in the FA cup, and there are some individual players like Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud and Koscielny that are really at the top of their games right now. So as long as we don´t have another off night, we do have the tools to beat Monaco on their own turf.

2. Gabriel was back in training yesterday after returning earlier than expected from a hamstring injury.- The Brazilian has not been out for long so should be fine to start in Monaco. He was already showing to be a better prospect alongside Koscielny than the out of form Mertesacker so that gives Arsenal a better platform to build on, especially with the cool and combative Coquelin in front of them.

3. History is on our side as Arsenal have never failed to go through against French teams on all five occasions. There is a first time for everything of course, but that could be us overturning a two goal deficit as well as going out to a French side.

4. Only one of Monaco´s three goalscorers from the first leg will be available to play, with the brilliant Kondogbia and the speedy Ferreira-Carrasco having injury problems.

So could Arsenal be about to make history?
