Full-back Goes To Surgery And Leaves Arsenal Short Again

Arsenal’s injury problems are mounting on, and Wenger’s biggest problems are the full-backs who just seem to be cursed. First Gibbs, than Sagna than Jenkinson and finally Santos fell to injuries throughout this start of the season and now the French manager doesn’t have any options for the full-back position.

The worst is that this is not going to improve any time soon because even if Sagna returned to training the manager won’t rush his recovery and risk a possible setback, and Gibbs won’t be available still.

Even though it was previously thought that the full-back will be ready for last week’s Villa match it seems that he suffered yet another setback and had to undergo surgery.

“Kieran Gibbs has had surgery on his left groin and he will be out for a month.”, Wenger said.

This means that it’s going to be at least a month and a half until Arsenal will be able to count on either Gibbs or Santos who is expected to be out for another two months, so the single option Wenger is left with is to transfer at least a full-back in January. Who do you think should join?
