Arsenal’s interest in Koln’s striker Lukas Podolski might be paying off in January is Arsene Wenger will decide to submit a bid which could motivate both the player and the club to encourage the switch.
“I will talk to Cologne before anybody else and see what they have to say,” Podolski told ZDF television.
“Of course I am getting plenty of offers and I expect more of them to arrive to me, to my agent or to my club in the coming weeks.”
“But I repeat, I must first talk to Cologne.”
Wenger is looking for a striker who is eligible to play in the Champions League and Podolski is one of the best out there, so this transfer could be a resounding one for Arsenal. There are also other options out there, but with the skill and experience Podolski has it’s doubtful that any of them will be quite as successful.
