Gibbs admits that Arsenal NEEDED the FA Cup win!
The Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs thinks that the team are in great spirit aheadof the new season,and says the FA Cup winning medals was exactly what the players needed to start a winning momentum.
Gibbs told Arsenal.com: “Winning the FA Cup was the biggest thing and we’ve kept a large amount of the squad together and added some new players,”
“Last year we did that as well. We didn’t let a lot of people go and brought people in. That had a positive effect for us so hopefully that can happen again.
“The boys needed that [FA Cup] win and everyone involved in the club needed it. We want to come back and use it as a stepping stone, we don’t want to take our foot off the gas.
“It’s only the start and I hope we have grown in stature. I think the players have come back with bigger personalities and they’re hungry for more.”
