It appears that Arsene Wenger has made his mind up and is determined to sign Gonzalo Higuain for Arsenal. The Frenchman is set to abandon his usual way of eking out every morsel of value in his transfer dealings, by meeting the £25 million valuation put on Higuain by his club Real Madrid.

According to Marca, The Spanish giants are sick of selling low and buying high, so this offer will put us firmly in the driving seat in the race for the Argentinean international. Madrid know that Higuain wants to go and they would probably sell him for less, but that would mean Arsenal haggling and counter haggling with Juventus and we could end up losing him and having to go back for somebody else.

Madrid are still waiting for Ancelotti to be confirmed as the new manager, and they are hoping to complete the transfer of Luis Suarez from Liverpool, but Arsenal and Wenger want the transfer completed as soon as possible, so they can concentrate on the rest of the targets and start preparing for next season.

We have heard that Wenger has held a meeting with Higuain’s father, who also works as his representative, and we have heard the striker say he would be happy to join the Gunners, so it is just for the clubs to sort out. Cross you fingers, Gooners, and hopefully we could get an announcement next week.

  1. Don’t be too jumpy dude! Untill I see him in D̶̲̥̅̊ famous red n white I seize τ̲̅ȍ believe. Period

  2. Higuian is worth £24M. He is a world class striker and has so much experience in him to excel at the emirates. He has good conversion rate and inside the box good finishing ability. With good creativity around him, he can be superb

  3. Great news, i wish it will be completed by tomorrow and get our lovely player,,,, we love you Higuain…

  4. Untill I see him pen down a deal, I aint beleiving this story. Wish it were true though, we need him…

  5. The problem might be that RM’s new manager should have a say in selling Higuan at all ?

  6. Hopefully it is not the empty talk we have had to endure in recent weeks and this time it comes to pass that Wenger finally lands the Argentine. He’s prolific and very experienced, having been at Real for seven seasons now. He would be a welcome addition to the Arsenal team that is in dire need of a prolific marksman.

  7. We shoould sign Nani, he seems to be available at a bargain now. His dip in form seems to be because of personal differences with the man utd mgmt and not his technical abilities. Wenger might be able to get the best out of him and possibly make him like Ronaldo..
If i remember correctly, he was always good in big high profile matches…

  8. I’d rather we sign Lewandowski for 25.5 million… thats the price quoted by dortmund…

  9. Ha! Saurez to RM is one of the weaker rumours going around. Cavanni to RM is more likely. Maybe Ancelotti will come and decide to keep Higuain, but I don’t think that’s likely because he really wants to go.
I hope Wenger forks out £30m for Higuain, after all RM supposedly want a minimum of £25m, and we must still compete with Juventus.
