Is Viagra the reason for Giroud’s poor Arsenal form?

1

There is one interesting subtext to Arsene Wenger’s latest pronouncement on the reasons behind Arsenal’s poor record with players recovering from injuries. Gooners have long been aware that if Wenger says that an injured player will be out for a fortnight, then we may not see him for two months, etc. Either the Frenchman is not very good at forecasting, or the medical team is not doing their job properly.

After a thorough investigation by the club, they have suggested that players may be taking legal drugs in their private lives that may be affecting their form, with The Express claiming he is talking about “slimming aids, hair restorers or sex pills.”

Wenger was quoted as saying: “Yes. Some of them are down to the medication that the players take that you don’t even know about it. You realise afterwards that they took this medication that’s not prudent.”

“The liver doesn’t work as well, the toxics don’t go as quickly out of the body as they should and they get tired.”

“If you lose your hair and take something to make it grow it might not be good for the rest of your body,” he said.

“Medication always pushes a part of your body and is sometimes detrimental to other parts of your body.

“At the moment we have not come to any conclusion. We need to analyse deeply why things happen.”

After the ongoing revelations about Giroud staying up half the night with sexy young girls before big games, can we assume that Viagra may be one of the reasons for his failing to perform on the pitch, as he certainly doesn’t seem to have problems performing in the team hotel!
