One of Arsenal’s most wanted transfer target Eden Hazard’s summer move has finally been confirmed by French side Lille’s officials, as the Ligue 1 side is getting ready to face the next season without him and find a worthy replacement.
While a destination has yet been revealed, Lille’s president Michel Seydoux stated that the club can’t hold the attacking midfielder any longer and that they need to finally listen to offers coming in for his services.
“Eden wants a European experience outside France. We cannot hold him.
“If he already spent two more seasons in France, it is because we have been a very strong club. We make no sales here.”
It is believed that Lille is looking to replace Hazard with Chelsea’s young star Kevin de Bruyne, who after being bought by the Blues was allowed to continue playing for Genk and a loan deal which is about to end in the summer has been completed.
Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger has been scouting Hazard for two whole seasons now and it would be a huge shame if the Belgian star will choose to join some other club, especially if we think about the lack of offensive midfielders Arsenal has at the moment.
