According to German newspapers Liverpool’s manager Kenny Dalglish wants to compete with rival Arsene Wenger for yet another European starlet as the Kop’s take an interest in long term Arsenal target Raffael.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has impressed while playing for Herta Berlin in the Bundesliga, and ever since the summer Arsenal have been watching him. Wenger is looking for a player worthy of replacing Samir Nasri or Cesk Fabregas, but according to rumours around the grounds he’s not ready to offer the money Lille are requesting for the services of Eden Hazard.
The Brazilian footballer hasn’t made an appearance for the national squad yet but he’s managed to score five goals this season and assist another 6 in a very out of form Herta Berlin side.
Other targets for Wenger might be Germans Reus and Gotze, but Reus has already signed with Dortmund and if Arsenal won’t be ready to pay Dortmund big for his services they won’t be able to snatch him, and Gotze is also rated at a very high price by the Bundesliga champions. Who do you think it would be better to join the club?
