No dramas as Arsenal ease past Hull in FA cup

With Arsenal having to face Hull City in their forst obstacle towards defending the FA cup trophy, it was inevitable that a lot of the talk was about the Wembley final against the same opponents. There was massive drama in that game for Arsenal fans as it looked like we would fail in another final and carry on the painful trophy drought.

But there was no such drama for the Gunners today, especially after Per Mertesacker had eased the nerves with the opening goal from a corner after 20 minutes. The only real drama came from the amount of time it took Aresenal to turn our superior class and chances into a more convincing scoreline.

The amazing Alexis Sanchez finally did that with a little less that 10 minutes of normal time left to cap his Man of the Match performance. FRancis Coquelin was impressive again in the centre of midfield, while David Ospina and the somewhat changed defence rarely looked at risk and were pretty calm and composed throughout.

Another slight moment of concern came late on when the Ox needed some treatment but he stayed on the pitch when the game was done and dusted so I am sure there is no injury there. A comfortable passage to the next round is just what Arsenal needed and that is exactly what we got.
