Arsenal’s newest signing, the ex-Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud, has spoken for the first time about the move he has decided to make from the French Ligue 1 to the Premiership, saying that he couldn’t be happier after signing for the Gunners.
Giroud has been a transfer target for a long time now for Arsene Wenger, and the Frenchman managed to finally capitalize on his move for the French striker, marking the second signing of the season.
After winning the Ligue 1, the French striker has spoken about his joy for signing with the Gunners.
“I am so happy to be signing for Arsenal – it is something that represents so much for me,” Giroud is quoted as saying by the Sun.
“I’ve always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and Arsenal are a great club with many French players.”
Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger seems to be set to fight for the title after making two marquee signings this summer by bringing Podolski and Giroud.
How do you see the club’s line-up next season if Robin Van Persie will stay at the club? Would Giroud and the Dutch star be able to play alongside each other?
