O’Neill plays down Arsenal rumours regarding Sessegnon

The Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill snubbed the ongoing speculations which were speaking about a possible move from Sunderland to Arsenal for African striker Stephane Sessegnon. Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger has been linked with Sessegnon for quite some time now, and the newspapers are saying that the move is going to be made this summer.

O’Neill doesn’t even want to hear about a possible leave, and stated: “Sess is playing brilliantly for us. There’s talk about him being unhappy and that he’s having a tough old time with his family, but believe me, he couldn’t be happier.

“He couldn’t play like he has been doing this season if he was at all unhappy. He’s very happy and in some great form.”

“I’m sure I won’t stop the speculation, but the fact is that we want to keep him here. He’s been brilliant for us.”

Arsenal’s search for another top striker continues as Wenger is looking to add another main striker to the club. They are rumoured to have signed Podolski, but the German isn’t able to play as a single striker being more of a winger or a second striker, so if Robin would get injured Arsenal would have a big problem once again.

Come on Martin, swap him for Bendtner please!
