Ox WANTS Chelsea transfer but will Arsenal take the £35m?
In all honesty the offer that Arsenal have reportedly received for the England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is quite a good one, even in today’s crazy world of transfers where PSG will pay something like £200 million to take Neymar from FC Barcelona.
The Ox may have a lot of talent but so far his playing career has been about flashes of dynamism and impact broken up by injury problems and loss of form, so the £35 million offer for him reported by Metro sounds like a lot when you consider that the 23-year old is now in the final year of his contract with the Gunners.
The main problem for Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans is that the club making the offer is Chelsea, a direct rival for the Premier League title.. The report also claims that Chamberlain is keen to join Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge so now it looks like it is over to Arsene Wenger to decide whether he should take the sizable amount of money for a player that has not really been a first team regular but who could take off and hand a real boost to Chelsea.
