Tomas Rosicky may have turned down the chance to return to his homeland this summer In favour of staying in London with Arsenal but is next season realistically his last year for the Gunners? Speaking to the media, Rosicky stated that he wants to stay with Arsenal for the time being despite interest coming from his former team.

Rosicky said, “After the season I spoke with the coach and Arsenal want me to stay. Of course, you never know what can happen, but I should be staying. A return to Sparta Prague? No, not yet, I have one year left on my contract and know nothing about me not staying. The coach has told me he counts on me.”

Rosicky says that Arsenal want him to stay but I think next year could be his last season with the Gunners. After an absolutely torrid career based around injures there are some fantastic moments to remember of Rosicky, especially over the last few years. He always seems to come into his own in the second half of the season and has been one of many players that have driven the club back up the table in order to gain Champions League football and top Spurs once again.

I’m sure a moment he will never forget is his goal against Spurs in the 5-2 win at the Emirates back in the 2011/12 season when we turned it around from 2-0 down to go 3-2 up. It was a great moment because he was completely running the game and his true importance to the team was shown. It’s just such a shame his career has been plagued with injures.

At 32 he isn’t exactly too old in his professional career but with Wenger not being a fan of players over 30 years old, I think when Rosicky’s contract expires next year it could be the last we see of him in a Gunners shirt. Arsenal have been linked with Grenier, who would fill Rosicky’s role in the squad perfectly but talk of the Frenchman’s arrival at the Emirates has gone cold. Do you think the Czech has got much more to offer Arsenal?
