The stunning capture by Arsenal of the Chile international Alexis Sanchez has got the Arsenal fans, players past and present and the media buzzing with what he will add to the Gunners. And Sanchez himself seems just as excited to be coming to the Premier League with Arsenal.

The 25-year old arrived at his former club Barcelona too late to pick up a Champions League winners medal with them. He did pick up gongs for a La Liga title, a Copa Del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup to add to his three titles in South America, but he is hungry for more with Arsenal.

In an ESPN report, Sanchez reveals that he is confident that he is coming to the club to help us to more trophies, with the Champions League firmly in his sights. After reaching the final and narrowly losing to Barcelona in 2006, everyone connected with Arsenal would love to add that trophy to our cabinet and signing players like Ozil and Sanchez should definitely help us, especially when they are as determined to win as the Chilean is.

Alexis said, “Playing regularly wasn’t the only reason why I came here.

“I came here to win the league title, the Champions League and every title at stake. I am also looking forward to showing the fans why I am here.”

So, Gooners, are we set for many more trophies to celebrate in the coming years? And which, if any, do you think Arsenal will get this season? A Double maybe, or even a treble?
