Wenger Doesn’t Seem To Care About Fan’s Opinion In Arshavin Sale

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger doesn’t think that club winger Andrey Arshavin should be let go despite having had an awful late form at the club and despite all the criticism coming the Russian’s way from the fans.

With the arrival of Chamberlain in the spotlight at the club, Arshavin is unlikely to be part of the first team any time soon after Gervinho returns to the club, and fans have been very vehement about their feelings when the Frenchman decided to pull Chamberlain off and send Arshavin on a couple of weeks ago.

Lazio Make Inquiry As Arsenal Attempt To Shake Top Flop

Arsenal’s Russian star Andrey Arshavin might be in for a January transfer if Wenger will play his cards right, but with Chamakh and Gervinho already gone for the African National Cup, the Frenchman must first make sure he still has options to replace the winger.

30-year-old Arshavin is now wanted by Italian side Lazio who need a replacement for Frenchman Cisse who proved to be a flop this season, and Wenger admits that it may be the Russian’s time to go.

Arsenal Keep Arshavin To Lure Russian Star

Arsenal will have to fight Manchester United for the signature of what’s rumoured to be the best prospect of the Russian football in the last few years.

21-year-old attacking midfielder Alan Dzagoev admitted that he would accept a move to the Premiership if an offer would come his way, and with Andrey Arshavin in the team Wenger has the best chance to snatch the youngster.

“I want to move forward as a player. I have heard many rumours about my future but they are not true.”, said Dzagoev amid rumours linking him to a switch to Serie A.

Arsenal Striker Could Choose Russian Path As A Way Out

Arsenal’s winger Andrey Arshavin could find his way out of the club sooner than he thinks, and perhaps January will also bring his departure from England as well.

His former Russian club Zenit St Petersburg may be the one which saves him from being doomed on Arsenal’s bench for another half season.

“We are always interested in Arshavin,” Zenit director Igor Korneyev told Sovietsky Sport.

“But I can neither confirm nor deny whether we have made an offer.”

“The player’s return is possible if he decides on it,” Gazprom boss Alexei Miller said.

Wenger – Arshavin Is Staying In January

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger seems unwilling to let Russian forward Andrey Arshavin go in January even though the winger grew frustrated by the lack of chances he got with the Gunners since the summer when Gervinho was brought in.

According to Wenger his plans with the former Zenit player are not yet over and he needs him to be there for the second part of the season, so a possible transfer away from the club is unlikely.

“I am losing players like Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho to the African Cup of Nations, but I have players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ju Young Park and Andrey Arshavin to come in.”, said Wenger

Arshavin:”I am expecting more from me”

Russian footballer Andrey Arshavin admits that he was not at his best this season, and he promises Arsenal’s fans they will see a spike in his performances. The winger managed to score once for The Gunners in the game against Swansea, but all in all his performances were slightly poor.

Arshavin declared for Arsenal’s official website:

“They should expect more from me, of course,”

“They should expect some more tricks, goals and unbelievable passes.

“To be honest I am still expecting more from me as well. But believe me, I do everything I can do.
