I couldn’t resist posting this interview with Samir Nasri that was published last August (In fact it was the day that Arsenal were beaten 8-2 by Man Utd and Nasri’s City were top of the League)
He was asked if he left Arsenal for his 200,000 a week wages or because he wanted to win trophies, and he replied: “Let people think what they want. I know my choice and I know it is a choice about football.”
“We will see at the end of the season when we lift the trophy and we will talk about my choice again and I will show everyone who was thinking it was about money that they were wrong.” ...........Read more

The Arsenal winger Gervinho has been brought to the club last summer in what turned out to be the worst transfer window in Arsenal’s recent history, and given the players Wenger had to play without during this season, he wasn’t all that bad, but should he question his future at Arsenal?
Chamakh had approximately the same evolution where after a few good games he lost his way, and Gervinho also seems a bit out of form on the moment and more than anything, a very long way away from the skills Chamberlain is currently showing. ...........Read more

The Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is currently on loan at Sunderland and he has had a hell of a lot of bad publicity since his arrival in the North-East, which hasn’t been tempered by him scoring loads of goals for the Black Cats.
But even Arsenal fans will have a soupcon of sympathy for Bendtner after his lates problem which came when he was kicked in the face during the League game against Swansea, and he was seriously worried that he would lose the sight in his eye. ...........Read more

Arsene Wenger saw his team fight back and come very close to getting the needed 4-0 win over AC Milan last night, but the Arsenal manager is still smarting over the disgusting state of the San Siro pitch during the first leg.
Both wings of the pitch had been dug up and relaid just days before Arsenal were due to play and it made the actual proper playing area available much smaller than Arsenal expected. Wenger believes this contributed to the 4-0 defeat and thinks that the Italian giants should be punished by footballs governing powers. ...........Read more

Good old Wojciech! He’s a real Gooner and like all good Arsenal fans he doesn’t like Tottenham very much I am very proud to say. Even in the aftermath of the fantastic win over AC Milan he couldn’t help but have a dig at our “noisy neighbours”.
“We can beat anyone in the country and in Europe so it’ll give us a lot of confidence,” Szczesny said. “It hurts because it wasn’t enough and we got knocked out, but there are a lot of positives. ...........Read more

The London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham started horribly wrong for the Gunners but ended in great fashion as Robin Van Persie lead his team to perhaps the most successful game of the season.
Two quick goals from Saha and Adebayor from an invented penalty saw Arsenal lead 2-0 very early in the game and Wenger seemed hopeless after only 34 minutes in the London derby, while Dalglish was probably already thinking that he’ll rendered a club legend after he’ll leave the Spurs for the English national squad, but the Gunners had other plans. ...........Read more

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger seems to be following the trend and after Italian squad Napoli’s forward Ezequiel Lavezzi had an amazing match against Chelsea, the Frenchman now wants to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger’s mind is set on refreshing the squad a bit in the summer and now after Arshavin left Chamakh and Park are likely to do the same in the summer, which also means that at least one or two have to come to the club and replace them. Chamberlain is an ascending star and his future at Arsenal is a certain one, but Wenger seems to be also looking for a couple of attacking men he could bring at the club. ...........Read more

Arsenal’s top transfer target Eden Hazard admitted the fact that he is interested in the possibility of moving to the Premiership and that Arsenal have taken an official interest in him.
Lille’s winger Eden Hazard declared that he also has an interest in the side from the Emirates Stadium because there are a lot of people speaking French there including the manager, and because he’ll be able to pair up with his national team buddy Vermaelen.
“There are several clubs that interest me in England and Arsenal is really a part,” ...........Read more

We all know by now that Arsenal’s right-back Backary Sagna seems to think that Eden Hazard’s move to the White Hart Lane would be a mistake, and we all agree that it would be a dreadful thing for the Gunners to lose one of their most wanted targets to the club’s biggest rival. But is it really that much better for him to join Arsenal?
“I think (a Spurs move) would be an error for him.
“I watch the French League and Hazard is an excellent player. It would be a major signing for Arsenal, but it’s up to different people to decide his destination. ...........Read more

Despite recent rumours Arsenal’s skipper Robin Van Persie is as devoted as ever to bring the Gunners back on a top four spot in the Premiership.
The Dutchman is highly linked with a transfer away from the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but the striker who is still running out of contract with Arsenal doesn’t seem to look into that.
“What better way to set things straight again than to beat Spurs?” the Dutchman said.
“I would rather be playing them now than on any other day, and we know that a win is absolutely vital. ...........Read more
