Arsenal’s 3-way Man City battle for Points, Title and Guardiola

The Premier League match between Arsenal and Man City tonight is already being seen as a potentially crucial clash between the two sides that have the best chance of being the champions of England at the end of this season, despite the fact the the remarkable success of Leicester City is stopping the game from being a top of the table clash.

And it is not just the three points from tonight and the Premier League title that Arsenal and City are fighting over, according to the Daily Mail. The paper, among other sources in the football media, is telling us that Arsenal are one of the clubs in the running to get the former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola to take charge for next season.

Arsenal braced for BIG Alexis Sanchez transfer bid?

The Arsenal and Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez will hopefully be out of action with his hamstring injury for just a few weeks and is currently expected back in action in time for the busy festive period. Until then the Gunners will have to get by without him and we managed to do just that in the Premier League game against Sunderland.

But Arsenal definitely do not want to lose him for any longer and we especially do not want to see him sign for another club. So the latest Arsenal transfer rumour reported by Metro which claims that the Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has set his sights on our star striker is not what Arsenal fans want to see.

How Bellerin injury can work FOR Arsenal in Munich

After hitting Arsenal fans with the bad news about the latest injury blow to his playing staff, with the young Spanish right back Hector Bellerin having to miss out on the Champions League away tie with Bayern Munich, Arsene Wenger softened the blow by revealing on the Arsenal website that the groin problem our defender has picked up is not a major problem.

Hopefully it will allow Bellerin to line up against Tottenham in the north London derby this weekend but if not then at least we have a two week international break in which he can recover. I think he could be a big miss against Spurs on Sunday with his pace and attacking flair but I also think that in Munich tonight the Gunners might be batter off with his replacement Mathieu Debuchy.

Arsenal use Plan A and plan B to beat Everton

Arsenal played some wonderful football today to beat Everton and it really should have been by more than jujst a single goal, but the chances came and went both before and after Barkley´s deflected shot got them back into the game just before halftime.

Arsenal teams of the past might have crumbled after that and failed to win or even got beat, especially after the mighty exertions from all of the players against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night. After showing the classy, creative and exciting part of our game though, we also showed the new gritty side.

Have Arsenal now got the measure of Guardiola teams?

Maybe we are going over the top with the confidence and belief surging around Arsenal Football Club at the minute, but we did just become the first team this season to beat Pep Guardiola´s Bayern Munich. The German´s have been setting all sorts of records both individually and as a team so I think we are allowed to rave about our win.

And a Metro report has revealed that Arsenal are not just the first team to beat the German Bundesliga champions this season, but we are the first team to beat the Bayern team of Guardiola as well as his Barcelona side who were on top of the world when they lost to us back in 2011, with a certain young player called Jack Wilshere running the show.

Top boss tells Arsenal to forget Champions League

We all know that Arsenal are right up the creek after losing the first two games in our Champions League group to the unfancied Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos from Greece. But the nature of football being what it is and Arsenal having pulled off bigger comebacks in the past, Arsenal fans are still hoping that we might actually have a paddle.

It might be a small paddle but if used right it could just get the Gunners back down the proverbial creek. Not according to Carlo Ancelotti though, and this top manager does know what he is talking about after winning the European cup three times as a manager and twice as a player.

Arsenal back-up transfer target is BETTER than Benzema!!

I think that all Arsenal fans should be crossing our fingers and toes and hoping that Arsene Wenger fails in his reported attempt to bring the Real Madrid and France international star to north London this summer. According to the Arsenal transfer rumour mill, this could all hinge on Rafa Benitez and how his plans for the season affect the French striker and the saga could drag on right up until the end of the transfer window.

Shaqiri to snub Liverpool for SHOCK Arsenal transfer?

Maybe now that Arsenal have not been drawn to face the German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the knockout stage of the Champions League, for a change, then their manager Pep Guardiola will not mind selling us one of his players.

And by all accounts, the Switzerland international midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri is not really a part of the Spanish manager’s plans for the club’s future anyway. But I did not realise that he was even a possible transfer target for the Gunners either, until I saw the Metro report that claims not only is Arsene Wenger keen on signing Shaqiri, but that the Frenchman is closing to completing the deal to bring him to the Emirates stadium in January.

Transfer boost spurs Arsenal into Khedira bid

Sorry about using the title of our rivals in the tile Arsenal fans, but if this latest Arsenal transfer rumour is true, it is great news for the Gunners. It follows the bad news reported earlier this week that the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich had already agreed a pre-contract agreement with Sami Khedira.

The Real Madrid and Germany midfielder is out of contract in the summer and so can sign such a deal once the January transfer window opens, although Arsenal fans were hoping that Arsene Wenger would make move to bring Khedira to the Emirates in January and steal a march on our rivals.

Arsenal in 4-way transfer battle for Costa Rica keeper Navas

After his World Cup heroics in Brazil, Keylor Navas was always going to attract some interest in the transfer market. According to the Arsenal transfer rumours going around the media, the Gunners are one of the clubs that are now chasing the 27-year old Costa Rica star.

But even though Arsenal have the advantage of having one of his international team mates, Joel Campbell, already on the books, we are not going to have an easy ride if Arsene Wenger is intent on signing Navas as competition and cover for the Poland international Wojciech Szczesny, according to a report in The Mirror.
