Hull City may have got a fantastic result in the 3-1 win over Liverpool at the weekend, but he understands that a visit to the Emirates is a different kettle of fish. The Gunners are clear at the top of the table and have brushed aside everyone on their home turf since the shock opening day defeat to Aston Villa.

Hull’s manager Steve Bruce made it clear that he was not holding much hope of coming away with anything tonight when he said: “We’ve shown when we’ve been to the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham that we’ve made a fist of it,”

The Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has slowly been regaining his fitness and speed, and although he was a bit over enthusiastic when he got sent off at Old Trafford, he thinks that it won’t be long now before he returns to his former glory. After teasing media and fans alike over his prospective club destination in the off-season, new Chelsea recruit Eden Hazard has made another quick move to the top of the tabloids with a revelation that former Lille teammate Gervinho is his footballing inspiration.

Proving that he can contest Mario Balotelli in a competition for stories which provide the most laughs, 21-year old Hazard compared the Arsenal flop to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, whose videos Hazard watches in hopes of emulating them, adding that the Ivorian is the best player player he has ever played with.

Djourou – Arsenal need to return to our best to beat Chelsea 6

Chelsea have a massive game against Barcelona in tonight’s Champions League semi-final and then have to face Arsenal at the Emirates this coming weekend, but Johann Djourou says that the Gunners can’t just assume that Chelsea will be tired and take it easy against Arsenal.

He said: “They still want to have Champions League football next season as well so we know it is going to be a tough game,”

“Obviously they have a lot of fixtures, the two Barcelona games are [either side of Saturday's derby] but we don’t really concentrate on that. We have to be focused on our game and be focused on what we do best.
