Will Emirates Cup be last chance for Campbell at Arsenal?

After he tweeted just the other day about flying to London to fight for his dream of playing for Arsenal, I was pretty surprised to see that the 22-year old forward was not on the plane taking the Gunners to America for a short visit and pre-season friendly against Theirry Henry and his New York Red Bulls side.

Instead, it appears that the Costa Rica international stopped off in France for a final few days’ holiday and will join up with Arsenal for training next week. I thought the young Gunner would be desperate to start showing Arsene Wenger what he is made of, because I don’t think the Frenchman is totally convinced that Campbell can really do it for Arsenal in the Premier League.

Campbell IS the reason Arsenal will NOT sign a striker!

There is good news for the young Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, who has now joined up with his new team mates as the Gunners continue their pre-season preparations with a trip to America and a game against New York Red Bulls, with our favourite son Thierry Henry, on Saturday night.

We already know that the young Costa Rica international has talent and a strong self belief, but he must have been having some doubts about just how much, if at all, he would be able to feature in the Arsenal first team this season. Arsene Wenger said that he would be coming for pre-season, but he stopped short of saying there was definitely a place for him in the Arsenal squad after that.

It’s Sanogo NOT Campbell that Arsenal should send on loan!!

I am not the most aggro or outspoken Arsenal fan in the world, but I will be ringing Arsene Wenger to give the Frenchman a proper talking to (if I can get the number and he doesn’t just put the phone down on me) if the young Costa Rica international Joel Campbell is sent out on loan for the third season in a row.

Not only does the promising striker seem desperate to finally come and play for Arsenal, but he looks better than a lot of the players that have been given more than a fair crack of the whip in recent years. In fact, there is one at the club right now and his name is Yaya Sanogo.

Will Campbell’s World Cup force Sanogo out of Arsenal?

It seems that Joel Campbell will definitely be getting a chance to stake his claim for Arsenal in pre-season, after another impressive performance in Brazil helped Costa Rica reach the quarter finals of the World Cup for the first time in their history.

But one person connected with Arsenal may not be enjoying the 22-year old’s games as much as the rest of us. Yaya Sanogo may just be feeling a bit nervous about his role with the Gunners next season, because there are only so many places in the squad available and there is a good chance it could be just one of the two. The other may find themselves on loan somewhere.

Campbell STILL not certain to play for Arsenal next season!!

With the well documented lack of firepower in the Arsenal ranks, which many think was the main reason for the way our title challenge faltered last season, you would think that Arsene Wenger would jump at the chance to have another striker available to him.

And the fact that young Joel Campbell is already on the books at Arsenal, despite never having kicked a ball in anger for us, would make you think he was a nailed on squad member for next season’s campaign. But maybe not, according to the boss.

Improving Joel Campbell ready to step up for Arsenal next season

The young Costa Rican striker Joel Campbell was a big surprise signing by Arsene Wenger in August 2011, but the youngster had already started to impress for his national team and was obviously full of promise.

Surprisingly though his talent wasn’t enough to impress the board that gives out the work permits, so he has had to start his Arsenal career with three loan moves at Lorient, Real Betis and now in Greece with Olympiakos where he has finally started to blossom at age 21.
