Are Arsenal fans upset about losing out on Jovetic? I’m not! 6

Posted on June 18, 2013 by admin

Prior to the season ending and just after it, the media was reporting news about Stefan Jovetic as if his transfer to Arsenal was in advanced negotiations and impending completion. However it wasn’t to be and a few weeks further on and we hardly hear his name mentioned in the media anymore. The latest reported yesterday was that Arsenal were refusing to meet his wage demands….

Higuain could sign for Arsenal next week after £25m bid 16

Posted on June 16, 2013 by admin

It appears that Arsene Wenger has made his mind up and is determined to sign Gonzalo Higuain for Arsenal. The Frenchman is set to abandon his usual way of eking out every morsel of value in his transfer dealings, by meeting the £25 million valuation put on Higuain by his club Real Madrid.

According to Marca, The Spanish giants are sick of selling low and buying high, so this offer will put us firmly in the driving seat in the race for the Argentinean international. Madrid know that Higuain wants to go and they would probably sell him for less, but that would mean Arsenal haggling and counter haggling with Juventus and we could end up losing him and having to go back for somebody else.

Arsenal have agreed fee – Will Bendtner agree to go? 6

Get ready to be happy Arsenal fans. Although I will not actually believe it is really true until it is finally all done and dusted, it looks like the Gunners will finally get rid of the blank firing, self publicist that is Nicklas Bendtner.

Maybe the not so great Dane has finally realised that the biggest clubs in the world are not desperate to sign him after all, or maybe he finally feels a bit guilty about trousering over £50,000 a week from Arsenal only to run us down any chance he gets, although I doubt it.

Arsenal set to lose out again (as usual!)? 13

Posted on June 11, 2013 by admin

Every year Arsenal always lose out on one of our main transfer targets because we are usually too slow in the transfer negotiations or that quite simply another team is offering a better package than us. Unfortunately if recent years those players we have targeted have been snapped up by rivals, Juan Mata to Chelsea for instance is one of the biggest recent deals in this frame. And this summer looks to be the same!

Arsenal are still in with a chance for Jovetic 1

Posted on June 10, 2013 by admin

The transfer saga involving Arsenal and Fiorentina’s Stefan Jovetic has been going on for some while now and its involved the Gunners agreeing a deal for the Montenegrin, having a medical with Juventus and then being told to stay at Fiorentina, apparently, but now the latest news comes from quotes from the player himself, stating both his intentions and options for the future.

He said, “I’ve been at Fiorentina since 2008, five very intense seasons, I really feel like I’ve given everything. I’m young and ambitious and it is normal to feel the need to test myself elsewhere. I do not think there’s anything wrong with desire. I’ve played in Europe with Fiorentina, now I want to win in Europe.

Higuain or Jovetic? Make your mind up Arsenal 17

These two Arsenal transfer sagas seem to be everlasting, with the rumours beginning long before the end of the season, which suggests to me there is a lot of truth in the speculation. It seems Arsenal and Juventus are in the race, in which the likely scenarios are both clubs come away with one player each, or Juventus takes them both, because I can’t see Arsenal signing both Jovetic and Higuain. Well in fact I can’t see us signing either, nor Rooney for that matter, but let’s not get into that and instead look at who I think would be better for Arsenal.

Arsenal linked with prolific Fenerbahce striker 8

Posted on June 02, 2013 by admin

Arsenal are apparently switching their focus from Gonzalo Higuain and Stevan Jovetic to make a move for Fenerbache’s 27-year old Senegalese striker Moussa Sow. Sow has been on Arsene Wenger’s radar for a few seasons since he was at Lille where he was extremely prolific in the Ligue 1 competition, scoring 25 league goals in a season.

Arsenal are wanting to pay around £10 Million for him but the Turkish giants will want closer to double that amount. If Fenerbache play hardball and demand more from Arsenal, the deal will probably be called off just like the deals for Higuain and Jovetic may have been.

Arsenal face a tough task over transfer of Pogba 0

Posted on May 29, 2013 by admin

After two previous attempts by Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager is hoping to make it third time lucky in his efforts to capture the young French midfielder Paul Pogba. Wenger has been alerted to the chance of signing the 20-year old after reports that he is unhappy at Juventus.

Pogba has impressed since moving to the Italian champions on a free transfer last summer from Manchester United. Ferguson was not happy about losing the talented player, although United were themselves accused of dirty dealing when they poached him from the French club Le Havre in 2009. Arsenal wanted him back then and it’s a real shame that United got him because he never got much of a chance and that is why he let his contract run out and joined Juventus.

Have Juventus got it in for Arsenal? 4

Juventus have halted Arsenal’s transfer plans yet again. This time they have stolen Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain from us.

Reports have been circling around the press for the last week that Arsenal had Higuain in the bag and it was just up to the player to agree the deal. Arsenal had apparently had a bid worth around £20 Million accepted from Real Madrid and it was all a done deal.

Juventus have now popped in and offered a tiny bit more than Arsenal and their offer was made the priority. Higuain himself has said that he would prefer a move to Juventus showing that once again Arsenal are victims of their own success (joke).

Juventus could wreck Arsenal’s transfer plans 1

Posted on May 22, 2013 by admin

Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board will be hoping to get their transfer business done and dusted nice and early this summer, in order to avoid any panic buying towards the closing of the window. It will also give the Frenchman abd his coaching staff plenty of time to get the new players and the current squad settled in and working well together as a team.

The Italian champions Juventus, however, are making things difficult and threatening to seriously undermine Wenger’s plans. This may be punishment for sending Nicklas Bendtner to Turin, so I suppose you cannot blame them, but they are being linked with both of the strikers that Wenger apparently want. They may only want either Stevan Jovetic or Gonzalo Higuain, but the club’s general director has mentioned both publicly.
