There are always just a few players Arsenal seem to be linked with every single season. In previous years it was Ibrahim Affelay, in others Yann M’Vila but I think that one player that has stuck around more than most is Salomon Kalou. And it is that time again Gooners.
News emerged yesterday that Gervinho is seemingly ever more certain to leave Arsenal this summer as the player, agent and representatives from Roma have met and discussed personal terms, which Gervinho agreed upon. All that is now left to do is for the two clubs to agree a price with there supposedly being just £1 million in difference according to the speculation.
Despite no official confirmation from Arsenal, apparently new signing Yaya Sanogo is already impressed with the club. Speaking to French media, Sanogo stated his delight in signing with the Gunners and told reporters of how the surprise move came about.
Sanogo said; “I told my agent the choice would be made between these two clubs. Lille’s coach Rudi Garcia called me all the time. I hesitated a lot. Gilles Grimandi [Arsenal scout] came to see me from time to time at Auxerre too. One day he called me for a meeting in a Paris hotel and Arsene Wenger was there. I was very impressed.”
All the transfer action at Arsenal has been one way so far, and that has been out of the exit door. We have already heard this week the the Gunners have accepted offers from five clubs for the Danish international Nicklas Bendtner, who we could actually get a few million pounds for. He could soon be joined on his way out of Arsenal by Gervinho, apparently.
Arsenal are apparently switching their focus from Gonzalo Higuain and Stevan Jovetic to make a move for Fenerbache’s 27-year old Senegalese striker Moussa Sow. Sow has been on Arsene Wenger’s radar for a few seasons since he was at Lille where he was extremely prolific in the Ligue 1 competition, scoring 25 league goals in a season.
Arsenal are wanting to pay around £10 Million for him but the Turkish giants will want closer to double that amount. If Fenerbache play hardball and demand more from Arsenal, the deal will probably be called off just like the deals for Higuain and Jovetic may have been.
The fight for Eden Hazard’s signature goes on in England, as English giants Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City are all tracking the attacking midfielder.
It seems that the transfer fee to beat is £30m, and that both City and United are looking to give their all to sign the Belgian international despite him being linked with the Gunners for over two seasons and despite Arsene Wenger’s previous attempts to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
One of Arsenal’s most wanted transfer target Eden Hazard’s summer move has finally been confirmed by French side Lille’s officials, as the Ligue 1 side is getting ready to face the next season without him and find a worthy replacement.
While a destination has yet been revealed, Lille’s president Michel Seydoux stated that the club can’t hold the attacking midfielder any longer and that they need to finally listen to offers coming in for his services.
“Eden wants a European experience outside France. We cannot hold him.
The fight continues between Arsenal and a few other clubs for the signature of the Lille attacking midfielder Eden Hazard as Alex Ferguson visits France to see him in action again. Manchester United’s manager has admitted that he went to see the match between Lille and Lyon in order to keep a close eye on the Belgian’s performances.
Arsenal were thought to be the favorites to sign the talented Belgian playmaker, but Chelsea and Manchester United don’t seem too willing to drop the fight and Wenger should expect a fierce battle for the star’s signature.
Former Lille midfielder Yohan Cabaye has advised his former colleague Eden Hazard to make the move to England as soon as possible, feeding the rumours about his move furthermore.
According to Newcastle’s midfielder, the Lille star should move to England where he’d surely make an amazing stand, and he seems to think that even though Tottenham’s offer is a good one worthy of Hazard’s attention, the move the Belgian must make is across town at Arsenal.
“Eden and England would go very well together,” Cabaye told L’Equipe. “Tottenham is a good club even if, right now, there are some troubles with the coach. Arsenal, it would be really good.
Arsenal’s top transfer target Eden Hazard admitted the fact that he is interested in the possibility of moving to the Premiership and that Arsenal have taken an official interest in him.
Lille’s winger Eden Hazard declared that he also has an interest in the side from the Emirates Stadium because there are a lot of people speaking French there including the manager, and because he’ll be able to pair up with his national team buddy Vermaelen.
“There are several clubs that interest me in England and Arsenal is really a part,”
