While the future of Arsenal skipper and super striker Robin van Persie remains unclear at best, his deputy Thomas Vermaelen has made his intentions crystal clear by declaring he wishes to stay on at the North London club “forever”.
In a declaration more apt for one’s wedding vows, 27-year old center back Vermaelen took advantage of some press time ahead of Belgium’s international friendly with England on Saturday to discuss his love for Arsenal and his desire to be at the club for eternity and ever more. ...........Read more

As it has been expected, Arsene Wenger’s assistant manager Pat Rice (63) will retire at the end of the season after unparralelled srvice to Arsenal spanning over four decades.
He first joined the club as a youth team player in 1964, and after that he made no more than 528 senior appearances during 14 seasons. Later on, Pat spent 4 years at Watford only to come back as youth team coach to his boyhood team.
Next he joined Le Professeur’s backroom staff back at Arsenal, following the Frenchman’s arrival in 1996, and after becoming Wenger’s right hand man, Pat’s hard work and devotion helped the Gunners win 3 Premier League titles and 4 FA Cups. ...........Read more
